you know what I hate??

I really hate?? People who talk?? As if there were question marks?? After every other word??

Sorry? Question marks? And that bugs you? Really? Why?

(Actually, I once worked with a southerner whose natural accent (well, accent to MY Pacific Northwestern-New Yorker ears) tended to rise at the end of each sentence. So she sounded very much like that. Took some getting used to.

Yup. Think Sara Sidle on "CSI:" or pretty much any teen girl nowadays [she says, generalizing horribly].

"And I'm all pissed? You know? 'Cause he like totally dissed me? And it's not like he's all that? You know? And I'm all 'You can't treat me that way'? And he goes? 'I'll treat you how I want'? And I'm all 'I'm outta here' and I totally walked out? You know?"

Yeah, like that.

I remember reading a site which had synopses, usually quite amusing, of various TV shows. I gave up entirely on reading one recapper's contributions because it was literally overflowing with people being like.

"And then Sydney was like "I have to go in there." and her Dad was like "No. Too dangerous." And she was like "Going anyway."

Arrgh.
