[Sheesh...it's like when I finally twigged to the fact that "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and the alphabet song were the same tune. Head-shaking moment of "duh" and "cool" and "blush"...]

There is also the "Emily Dickinson poems can be sung to the tune of 'Yellow Rose of Texas'" ["Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me; The carriage held but just ourselves And Immortality."]
Another one for me is the Banana Splits 'la-la' chorus ["la la la, la-la-la la"] and "Buffalo Soldier" ["Oy yoy yah, oy-ya-yoy yah"].
Oh! Just thought of one more...not an exact fit, but enough to make me giggle: "Loch Lomond" ["You take the high road, and I'll take the low road"] and "Delta Dawn" ["Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?"].
My brain is a very scary place...
There was also a popular hard-hitting, pulse-pounding heavy rock song that, when slowed slightly, worked perfectly well to "Monster Mash." Wish I could remember what it was. sigh
(OK, I can't get the Loch Lomond/Delta Dawn to work in my brain. The "Delta Dawn" just won't take up five beats.)
